Video & Podcast

Here are just a few samples of my video/podcast work to date:

Vox: Divided States of Women

Divided States of Women is a Webby Award-winning Vox video series hosted by journalist Liz Plank focusing on the controversial issues that affect every woman in America. I acted as researcher and segment producer for the series. In addition to carrying out the bulk of research supporting the program, I pitched and produced segments, consulted on and helped write the script, and sourced and booked expert interviewees. I also did location research, pre-interviewed subjects and wrote interview questions for the episodes.

This series has exploded in popularity. The episodes I segment produced are among the most popular; several have accumulated millions of views on social. One standout example of my work on this series is the episode “Divided States of Hygiene” which I researched and segment produced. In its first week, it reached 2.2 million+ views and 22k shares on Facebook.

Bank of America: The Savings Experiment

From 2012 – 2016, I served as Senior Researcher and Content Developer for the Webby Award-winning Bank of America-sponsored The Savings Experiment. In addition to taking on all aspects of research and development for the program, I also assisted in writing the copy, and wrote many headlines for the series. This conversational and friendly personal finance and savings series covered nearly every consumer savings topic under the sun: travel, gas, cars, food and groceries, shopping, technology and more.

I pitched and developed over 400 videos for this popular series, with several videos going viral. You can see an example of one of my viral videos here. This simple 2-minute video was viewed over 9 million times, and covered by SF Globe, among others. (Please note that view counts are not included, since the original video was removed.)

H&R Block: Why Didn’t I Learn This in School?

Earlier in 2017, I researched and helped write/segment produce the H&R Block-sponsored Why Didn’t I Learn This in School, a personal finance series aimed at educating Millennials.

State Farm Insurance: Simple Acts of Kindness

In 2015, I served as Researcher & Casting Lead for State Farm-sponsored Simple Acts of Kindness, a Telly Award-winning program featuring real life stories of Americans doing good in their communities. I was tasked with finding just the right personal stories to bring the series to life, and wrote several of the video headlines. I’m quite proud of the end result. This incredibly heartwarming series won the Telly Silver Award for Branded Content & Entertainment: Cause Marketing.

Delta Air Lines: Delta Tech Download

For Delta Air Lines-sponsored Delta Tech Download, I was tasked with researching the latest, most cutting-edge technologies and how they’ll change our lives. This is definitely one of the coolest projects I’ve worked on, especially since it autoplays on Delta flights.

I helped research, write and segment produce the extremely engaging MAKERS Podcast, featuring the stories of remarkable women making history.
